National

NICHI

Current status: Open

The National Indigenous Collaborative Housing Inc. (NICHI) was formed in November 2022 by Indigenous housing providers across the country to deliver “For Indigenous, by Indigenous” (FIBI) housing solutions for urban, rural, and northern Indigenous Peoples. We prioritize housing as a human right with a goal to achieve a national urban, rural and northern (URN) Indigenous Housing Strategy that is fully Indigenous led. NICHI advocates for holistic, serviced-based community housing that empowers Indigenous communities.

Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) works to advance equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression through the inclusion of people of all genders, including women, in Canada’s economic, social, and political life.

The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation component of the Commemorate Canada program provides funding (up to a maximum of $10,000 per organization) to eligible recipients for initiatives that increase awareness and commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30).

Canada Cultural Spaces Fund

Current status: Open

The CCSF supports the improvement of physical conditions for arts, heritage culture and creative innovation. The Fund supports renovation and construction projects, the acquisition of specialized equipment and feasibility studies related to cultural spaces.

ISO-BEA

Current status: Open

We support Indigenous talent, communities and companies in the development, production and marketing of screen content. We support partners in building a robust Indigenous screen sector and workforce.

Saskatchewan

The deadline is approaching to apply for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls+ (MMIWG+) Community Response Fund. More than $400,000 is available to support grassroots efforts to prevent violence and create safety for Indigenous women and girls+ in Saskatchewan.

Ontario

Ontario Government

Quebec

The Call for Indigenous Cultural Development Projects program aims to increase the offer of activities, services and goods that significantly contribute to the Ministère’s objectives of strengthening and developing Indigenous cultures and communications. It also aims to meet the objectives of the 2022-2027 Government Action Plan for the Social and Cultural Wellness of the First Nations and Inuit.

New Brunswick

Community Investment Fund

Current status: Open

The Regional Development Corporation will be responsible for the overall management of the CIF. All funding applications under the CIF will be received, assessed, and evaluated by the Regional Development Corporation. The President of the Regional Development Corporation will have authority to approve funding for projects.

Indigenous Affairs Grants Program

Current status: Open

The Grants Program funds small-scale and not-for-profit Indigenous projects, initiatives, or events of a social, cultural, and educational nature. Individuals, First Nation communities and Indigenous organizations can apply.
