October fourth marks National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Even with the awareness campaign, many families are still fighting for more information on what has happened to their loved ones. Chelsea Poorman went missing in 2020 after she left a Granville Street party with an unknown man. Her family continues to work on bringing justice to what happened.
