Portage and Main round dance celebrates guilty decision for man who killed 4 Indigenous women

‘Everyone will remember today … as history,’ says MMIWG advocate. People took part in a round dance at Portage Avenue and Main Street in Winnipeg on Thursday after the decision in the case of the man who killed three First Nations women — Morgan Harris, Marcedes Myran and Rebecca Contois — as well as an unidentified woman given the name Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe, or Buffalo Woman, who is believed to have been Indigenous.
