On Feb. 12, community members gathered at Wampum Learning Lodge to hear Komorowski, assistant professor of gender, sexuality, women’s studies and Indigenous studies and a member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames. She spoke ahead of the Women’s Memorial March honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls on Feb. 14. Her talk, “Embodying the Land: Radical Love in Times of Colonial Violence,” examined the ongoing crisis while questioning what meaningful change has occurred.
